Good & Bad

This Year 3 theme, “Good & Bad,”gives learners the opportunity to explore and nurture their own unique shakhsiyah through the framework of Islamic values.  It emphasises the distinction between external behaviour and internal identity, encouraging students to reflect on how their beliefs shape their actions. Central concepts include the six articles of īman, aqīdah, and the five pillars of Islam, which collectively strengthen one’s connection to Allah. Learners reflect on their own behaviour examined through the lens of intention and sincerity (Ikhlas), highlighting the moral dimensions of actions. The importance of good character (Akhlaq) is underscored by studying the Prophet’s (saw) example, promoting virtues like kindness, honesty, patience, and charity (sadaqah). This thematic journey cultivates a holistic understanding of the shakhs as an individual rooted in spiritual growth and communal responsibility. In the final week of the theme, learners put their learning into action by engaging in an Acts of Sadaqah project, in which they conduct an act of kindness and reflect on the impact of their actions, on others and themselves.
